Inspired by Mark Rothko
The space between the ground and the sky
As I began to look more into the art of Mark Rothko, I was inspired by the contrast of his early works which look more active to his later works which look simpler. My digital painting attempts to be as active as much of the abstract expressionism movement was with the blurs between colors but also as static as Mark Rothko’s later work with the two blue and green blocks of color.
